Darth Caydis is the presiding Sith Lord in the Zhotta Sector. She has chosen Apis as her home system. There are a couple of reasons for this. The first is that Apis is the most heavily populated. The Apis Station is still used as a popular restocking station for freighters moving from the inner core worlds to the Outer Rim. Not only is this where she is mostly to be needed, it is also where the most money flows.
Unlike many of the Sith, Darth Caydis is a very hands on type of management. It is obvious that she was not raised as the Sith. While she has pledged herself to the One Sith, it is out of survival. Her loyalty is not a matter of question as she would not do anything to bring the Sith's wrath down on her. If that means do whatever it is that Darth Krayt wants, then she is more than happy to do so. Like many of the Sith, Darth Caydis has fallen to her own greed of power and money.
The commerce station is her cash cow, so to speak. The merchants there pay heavy protection fees to not be harrassed by the Imperial Forces. She is willing to accept large bribes to let things come and go through her station unnoticed. That is not to say that anyone can buy her. Her since of self-preservation is a driving force for her at all times, and so she is far less likely to allow illegal goods or wanted people pass through if she thinks that the might be used against her or if she would be punished if it were to be found out.
