There are those that suspect that the Chiss are in league with Emperor Fel. There are those that supect that the Chiss are in league with the Galactic Remnant. The truth of the matter is that the Chiss are in league with themselves and who and whatever it takes to keep themselves safe and free. They have served the Sith, but this relationship is not one out of desire but necessity. Captain Khaldraz knows that she plays a dangerous game. She has orders from the Chiss Consortium to play the role of a double agent.
Khaldraz is acting as a spy for the Empire in Exile within the Sith Empire. She is a captain of a star destroyer, The Merciless, which operates primarily in the Core as a roving patrol, along several shipping lanes. This gives her access to many small corners that are not always so carefully watched as others.
