Melina Horn is the older sister to Eddix Horn and the aunt to Jarec Horn. When she was a young woman, she was engaged to be married. Two days before the wedding, Danian Treldein was killed. She never sought to replace him in her heart and never married. The woman is an academic and an art historian specializing in early Corellian art. She is considered to be one of the foremost experts in the Corellian art world and has written several books on Old Republic Cultural artwork.
When Eddix married Jihlara, Melina and her brother grew apart, as she had no fondness for her brother's wife, finding the woman's political ambitions to be distasteful. Melina always felt that Jihlara married her brother merely for his family name, connections, and wealth. The fact that Melina often losses herself in her work did little to help this. Unfortunately, since Jihlara's posting as the Chandrillan Moff, Melina has had to socialize with her sister-in-law more often than she would like.
