Tarcukova was once a name widely known in the world of sport. The aging Wookie was once a champion prize fighter. He started off forced to fight in slave death matches, which left his hands permanently covered in the blood of dozens of fellow slaves. He did what he had to do to survive.
When he freed himself from the bonds of his masters, Tarc realized that fighting was pretty much the only thing he knew, and after a while of nearly starving to death, he found himself once again in the ring. This time the rules were different and his adversary was there on his own volition. No one had to die. No one was doing it against their will. As far as Tarc saw it, no one really lost. He could fight, which he had come to enjoy, without having to take a life, which he did not, and to make it even better, he got paid and paid well to do so.
This all changed for Tarcukova one night in the ring. The fight had gone on longer than any would have expected. Both warriors met each other with dignity and honor. As the battle raged, the onlookers watched with both glee at the glorious sight. Then Tarcukova’s opponent, a Whiphid by the name of Jempa, went down and he did not come back up. The medics were on the scene and rushed Jempa to the nearest medical facility. He died a few hours later. That was the last time that Tarc stepped foot into the professional ring.
The next year or so of his life was empty and hollow, until he met Shorran - a young Wookie who had fallen for Tarc. She gave him a reason to live again. The two were married and lived happily for three years. Then the War came, and the Sith took over. During one of the times of turmoil, the two were separated, and Tarc has not been able to find Shorran since. He does not know if she boarded one of the transports for Kashyyyk or not. He fears that if he returns to their homeworld, he will find that she is not there and will not be able to leave to continue searching for her. He is constantly searching for word of her one way or another.
A few years ago, as he was wandering, looking for Shorran, he was captured by slavers. He bid his time for the opportune moment, playing the role of the gentle giant. When that moment arose, he took it and left behind a mass of broken and dead slavers. He released the other slaves and let them have their justice on the surviving slavers. For himself, he took ownership of the cargo ship that they were on. They landed on the first planet that they could, and the majority of the slaves took their leave. Tarc found a Nagai boy who had no family or place to go, in a sense, Tarc claimed him as his too.
Ever since Tarc freed Krai B’Shaki from his cage, the young Nagai has been his constant companion and has proven himself to be a true friend. Tarc promised to help Krai try to find out if any of his family survived the pirate raid that resulted in his being aboard the slave ship. Secretly, Tarc both hopes that he is able to reunite the Nagai with his own people and hopes that they never find a reason for Krai to leave Tarc’s company. The two run the cargo ship, now called ‘The Vast Blue’.
