Urias Baskalar was never destined to be a great warrior, nor a wise Jedi master. He was quite content with his lot within the Jedi Order. He had been a a fairly skilled doctor and the Force enabled him to help people in ways that far exceded the capacities of normal medicine.
When the Sith attacked Ossus, Urias was on a mission, helping an epidemic in the Outer Rim. Luckily word got back to Urias before he headed back to the soldiers left waiting for those returning to Ossus. He was able to fake his death, and word got back to the Sith that he was no longer an issue.
Taking advantage of the rumors of his demise, Urias hid himself away on the planet Roon, on the Outer Rim. One of the smaller port cities gladly accepted the man for his extensive medical knowledge, and as long as they had a reliable doctor that didn’t ask unnecessary questions of them, they saw no need to ask unnecessary questions of him. For seven years, the Jedi healer was able to fade from the memory of the galaxy, and the doctor was able to live with little fear or worry.
Of course, this all ended when one of the Sith arrived at the door of one of the local mechanics. Urias felt the chilly presence of the Dark Side, and did nothing but quell his presence in the Force to remain unnoticed, as he had done many times before. He was able to convince him that there was no need to get involved with anything going on. That was until the mechanic’s son, Jek, ran past his door screaming about having a vision of his father being murdered. The boy’s cry was enough to get his attention, but as the boy ran past, Urias felt how strong the boy was in the Force, and knew that the Sith Lord would surely notice it as well.
For the first time in seven years, Urias pulled out his lightsaber and headed in the direction of the R’all’s garage. He arrived in time to see the Sith Lord murder the mechanic and try to grab the boy. He ignited his lightsaber and cut down the Sith Lord. Urias did not know whether or not, the Sith had reported to boy’s presence to anyone. He convinced Jek to go with him and with few things in their possession, the two left Roon, in the hopes of finding a new place to live without having to live in constant fear of being discovered.
